Online Content- & Community Manager

Calm/Storm is a boutique venture capital firm and exclusive founder network, investing in super-early-stage technology startups. We invest in purpose-driven founders, supporting and enabling them with our community of experienced founders. We love investing in #healthtech #femtech, #sextech, #tabootech or #greentech, but sometimes also invest in any-other-tech.

The Online Community Manager will engage with startup founders, investors and industry experts across all sectors with a specific focus on super-early-stage venture capital.

What we are looking for

This role requires someone with strong expertise in online marketing, Social Media and PR. We encourage applicants with a background in media, finance, consulting, venture building, professional sports or any other industry - with or without experience in venture capital. Your responsibilities will include:

• Creation and internal coordination of an editorial plan for social media in German and English
• Creation and internal coordination of an editorial plan for social media in German and English
• Drafting postings across our channels in German and English
• Creating and editing pictures and videos
• Monitoring, interacting and answering requests/postings on social media in German and English
• Creating, editing and managing our company blog in English
• Managing, editing and updating our company website in English
• Planning, managing and supervising our online and offline community events for founders and investors (Calm/Storm Academy, Calm/Storm Portfolio Days)

Who we are looking for

To be able to thrive in this role and in our small team with lean structures and flat hierarchies, the following should apply to you: 

• You have an entrepreneurial spirit and willingness to make a difference
• You are eager to learn and work harder than most around you 
• You are passionate about tech / startups, considering yourself a digital native
• You have strong communication skills, ideally demonstrated through some experience in community management, PR or similar functions
• You are purpose driven with the willingness to make the world a better place
• You are fluent in English and German (both are a must have)

This position is based in Vienna with the opportunity to work partly remote from anywhere in or close to Austria. For this position, it is not possible to sponsor a working permit or visa. You must be allowed to work in Austria (European Union) at the moment of your application.

Your compensation will be industry standard according to your experience with a potential participation in the fund’s profits (carry pool).
