The Opportunity

Calm/Storm is a boutique venture capital firm and exclusive founder network, investing in super early-stage technology startups. We look for founder/market fit and invest in purpose driven entrepreneurs changing our life, health and well-being for the better. We’re often the first check in the company but we also co-invest in Seed and Series-A rounds. Some of our most prominent investments therefore include Second Nature, Doctorly and Kiko.

As we are a small fund where every team member plays an active role in investment transactions from start to finish. Currently we are looking for an Intern to join us for a period of 6 months (min. 4 months) starting June/July (exact starting time is flexible).

What we expect from you:

  • You are a student or have recently graduated and ideally you have first work experience in a tech-related field
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and analytical skills
  • You are self-motivated and able to work autonomously with little supervision
  • Baseline knowledge of the European tech ecosystem and VC industry
  • You are fluent in English (German is a plus)

What you will do:

  • Help with managing our inbound dealflow
  • Draft internal documentation, track and report on our KPIs
  • Conduct market research, landscape analysis and deep-dives
  • Assist Partners and Investment Managers with their daily tasks
  • Manage ad hoc internal projects

All positions are based in Vienna with the opportunity to work fully remote from anywhere in Europe.
