Alumni Visiting Investment Manager
Monika Warężak

We work face to face

Monika managed investment opportunities (deal flow) and helped support our portfolio companies. Having lived in Poland, Canada and the UK, she was perfectly equipped for Calm/Storm's regional focus on startups from Europe, UK and North America. One of our portfolio companies was so impressed by her that they actually managed to hire her away from us! She can therefore still be considered as part of the extended Calm/Storm family!

Being an enthusiast of sustainability, Monika founded the slow fashion platform YUUGEN that aims to empower small and medium European fashion entrepreneurs and designers. Before she turned founder, she worked as a senior investment analyst at venture capital firm TDJ Pitango where she focused on digital health and e-commerce. Before that, she worked at CEE Equity Partners, PwC, Credit Suisse and KGHM International. She also spends her time supporting the VCLeaders team - a community and the educational platform for the VC professionals.

After hours you'll find Monika on her rollerblades or bike, training Zumba or defeating everyone in Scrabble.
