Augustin Droste zu Senden joined Calm/Storm as a Visiting Analyst, bringing a clinician’s perspective to the intersection of healthcare, technology, and venture capital. He holds a medical degree from Munich and experienced many of today’s healthcare system challenges firsthand in clinical settings, which motivated his transition from medicine into startups and, ultimately, venture capital. Alongside his VC work, Augustin is engaged in academic research in cardiology and immunology, staying closely connected to clinical science and evidence-based innovation. He played a key role in building and shaping OneAIM, one of Europe’s leading student-led communities at the intersection of healthcare and artificial intelligence. Prior to Calm/Storm, he gained experience across early-stage startups and investment-related roles and is currently a baby VC Fellow. Outside of work, Augustin enjoys hiking, sailing, and travelling, and believes most problems are best solved on a long walk or far away from Wi-Fi.
