Philippa, our Junior Investment Manager, has a particular interest in the immense potential of innovations in healthcare. She follows the mission to improve patient outcomes, close the healthcare financing gap and improve health equity. Philippa is driven by the potential of public-private partnerships, that are being explored by many health systems, to improve efficiency and accountability within the international healthcare system. The born and bred South African has a Bachelors in International Business and a Masters in Global Health Policy from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). During this time she also worked as an analyst at an early-stage MedTech fund, investing in medical devices and digital solutions. Subsequently, she joined an early-stage fertility start-up as Founders Associate. Philippa initially joined Calm/Storm as a Visiting Analyst where is excelled in her work, especially in her interactions with founders, and which resulted in her promotion to Junior Investment Manager. In her free-time you will probably find her outdoors playing some kind of sport, or on the hunt for the best coffee-spots in Vienna.
